11 KILLED, WHILE 67 INJURED IN AKBAR EXPRESS CRASH, SADIQABAD
Saddened news came in the observation this morning around 4:30 Am, a train collided near Sadiqabad killing 11 people and at least 67 others wounded.

The passenger train (Akbar Express) was headed to the Quetta from one of the twin cities of Pakistan, Rawalpindi when it hit a cargo train that was parked in Rahim Yar Khan’s area Sadiqabad at the Walhar Railway Station. In the accident, the engine and six bogies of the train destroyed fully and all this happened because the train moved on the wrong track due to a human error.
Immediately after the incident, 12 ambulances of rescue 1122 arrived. And the injured passengers were transferred to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Sadiqabad. While some others who were more critical were taken to the Sheikh Zayed Hospital, Rahim Yar Khan. The doctors and the hospital has declared an emergency to rescue the wounded on the earliest.
 
The operation to take the stuck passengers out of the train has now been accomplished and the safe passengers are taken towards their destinations via Rohri express. While the heavy machinery and rescue teams are on the go to transfer the parts of the broken train to clear the area.  So that the affected scheduled expresses may also move towards their destinations.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rahim Yar Khan Jamil Ahmed Jamil had said earlier that the passenger is being provided food and water while the heavy machinery is on its way to remove them out of the train.
He stated afterward that all the passenger clearance operation has been completed and all the stuck passengers have been removed from the train.
Hafeezur Rehman Bugti, the ASP Sadiqabad said that the accident took place on the loop line because the track was not changed. So the train operations on both the tracks are suspended because of their negligence.
The Minister of Railway, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has also expressed his thoughts over the train incident saying the accident occurred due to human negligence. And he was ordered to investigate into the depth of the matter.
He as well has announced to give the compensation to the families of injured and the deceased. He added that the families of the deceased will be provided Rs. 1.5 Million while the critically injured will be given Rs. 500,000. He further said the affected families and the wounded will be given all the needed assistance.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan has also given his comments about the incident via his tweet which said:
