Commanders renew their pledge to thwart any danger to the stability of the nation
Conference of Corps Commanders discussed combat readiness and the changing threat continuum within the country’s international and internal security framework.
The conference was headed by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa. The COAS complimented the efforts of all formations to maintain a high degree of readiness for war, particularly in the wake of changing regional security situation, the ISPR said.
The COAS conveyed full happiness overall army operational readiness, as the forum affirmed its resolve to thwart any challenge to the stability of Pakistan.
General Bajwa especially praised actions in the war against COVID-19 and locust in support of civil administration. Stressing the need to take utmost caution about Eidul Azha and Muharram in order to preserve the progress achieved in combating the pandemic, the forum also praised the contributions of physicians, healthcare staff, paramedics throughout the world.
The commanders paid homage to the brave Kashmiris for their rightful struggle for liberty. Taking careful notice of the ongoing violence in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K) as unlawful acts of 5 August 2019 reach one-year next month, the forum paid homage to the courageous Kashmiris for their rightful battle for independence.
