JUNAID KHAN EXPRESSED DISAPPOINTMENT

Junaid Khan, a 29-year-old Pakistani fast bowler had posted a picture of himself on his official Twitter account in which he sealed his mouth with a lack tape as if he was silently protesting against his exclusion from the final 15-man squad World Cup on Monday but he took it off from the social media later on.

He uploaded the picture along with the tweet expressing disappointment a few hours later the announcement was made by the chief selector of PCB Inzamam-ul-Haq in a press conference on Monday, saying;
I don’t want to say anything. Truth is bitter.”
Inzamam said, “Junaid and Faheem are dropped but that doesn’t mean they are not good. But we think players like Amir and Wahab are more suitable for these conditions, which is why we have preferred them.”
Initially, Junaid Khan was added in the list of the 15-man squad for the World Cup but PCB made changes in the final list and replaced three players Faheem Ashraf, Abid Ali and Junaid Khan with Muhammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, and Asif Ali.
This left-arm pacer was given chance in two games in the recently played five-match ODI series against England (lost by Pakistan by 4-0) but managed to save two wickets only and gave away 142 runs in 18 overs. This might be the reason that the PCB has dropped him preferring the experienced players as Riaz and Amir.
