Michael Vaughan Said: Shaheen, Naseem can be new Wasim, Waqar

Email :1

Former England Captain Micheal Vaughan
“Believes that there is potential for young pacers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah to become the next Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis”.
When speaking on Cricbuzz YouTube page, Vaughan said Pakistan pacers are likely to check England batsmen’s strategy in the 3-match Check series at Old Trafford, Manchester beginning August 5.
“I understand that he needs to field two spinners against England at Misbah.
Whoever it might be, you’ll always have Mohammad Abbas, Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi.
They’re first class. Particularly the young pair, we’re possibly thinking about the new Wasim and Waqar in five years’ time, with the amount of cricket they’ll play together,”
Michael Vaughan said.
“I was fortunate to see Naseem Shah making his debut and he is a high-class professional. He has a fantastic motion. It seems Shaheen Afridi is getting stronger and better.
Mohammad Abbas should push it with the duke ball and carry the batsman forward this is just what you need,”
Michael Vaughan said.
The 45-year-old also believes Pakistan should depend on its Test captain Azhar Ali and top-order batsman Babar Azam to place respectable totals on the board as well.
“Yeah, they are a batting team who can get 350 to 400 runs if they get to bat first at Old Trafford and who would be the answer,” he added.
“England’s going to think he’ll get a major score if Babar achieves 30 or 40 Azhar Ali has a good England background and played a lot of county cricket.
This Pakistan side seems even more aggressive and if they bat first they will cause an uproar,”
he said. The final two tests will be played from Thursday, August 13 and Friday, August 21 at the Rose Bowl, Southampton.

Best Of Luck For Team Pakistan For #ENGVSPAK
