From March 22 to 23, foreign ministers and high-level dignitaries from OIC Member and Observer States will attend the CFM.
Pakistan has raised the situation in Afghanistan during the OIC-special CFM’s session, and it will raise the Kashmir problem again at the forthcoming meeting, urging the world not to ignore the dire situation there.
India recently chastised the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for inviting the All Parties Hurriyat Conference’s chairman to its foreign ministerial conference in Islamabad.

The meeting will take place on the 75th anniversary of Pakistan’s independence.

Pakistan had invited distinguished visitors to witness the professional capability of Pakistan’s armed forces and the traditional floats of all provinces, reflecting national unity, at the Pakistan Day parade on March 23.
Foreign ministers from OIC conference member nations will also discuss the Afghan situation, which is characterized by severe humanitarian and economic challenges.
Pakistan hosted the OIC CFMs four times: the 2nd Session in December 1970, the 11th Session in May 1980, the 21st Session in April 1993, and the 34th Session in May 2007. The OIC CFM convened its first and 17th Extraordinary Sessions in Islamabad in January 1980 and December 2021, respectively.
